Hello everyone! My name is Hannah and I am the Brand Manager for KY Girl. If you are reading this, that means you have found your way to our website, and for that I am so grateful! Before going any further I want to introduce myself a little more. I am originally from Glasgow, KY and have been with this company for over 5 years. I was orignally the store manager for the Wildcat Wearhouse store in Glasgow. I moved to Lexington back in November to help KY Girl become an even more amazing brand.
KY Girl started as it’s own brand in the Wildcat Wearhouse stores back in 2014, having just short sleeves and long sleeves. From the start, people have loved the bright colors and vibrant designs. As the years have passed and traction grew for the brand we decided to take a chance and branch out KY Girl as it’s own stand alone brand. We opened our first Brick and Mortar this passed November on Southland Drive in Lexington, KY. We have since expanded our merchandise to soaps, bath bombs, home décor, hats, glassware and so much more!
Our company has always been a giving one. From hurricane relief funds, partnering with local food banks, the Humane Society; the list goes on and on. With our success, we also wanted to give back and help others succeed. For Kentucky Girl, we decided to partner with Refuge for Women and give them 10% of our apparel proceeds. Refuge for Women is organization that helps provide housing and support to women have been sexually trafficked and exploited. We decided to parter with Refuge for a couple of different reasons, but the biggest one being they are local! Their office is right in the heart of Lexington and our gift to them would help women right here in our own community.
This brand has opened so many doors for me and I am so grateful to be apart of it. I have learned so many things since partnering with Refuge and I am beyond humbled to play a role in helping victimized women across the commonwealth. Being a woman and being able to help other women in need is something that is so rewarding.
